What is the meaning of our existence?
March 5th, 2010Our existence must escort a rationale
There is more to us than flesh and blood
Our journey here is not unintentional
Some say we are made of sand
And unto the sand we shall return
It’s a theory few of us understand
Whether we’re energy or made of sand
I believe we’re the result of something greater
So much greater that we may never understand
Why we should always be content
March 4th, 2010We should always be content
Even if we’re having a hard day
We should always be content
Because we only have today
We should always be content
In spite of any fray
We should always be content
Because life is a beautiful play
So, let us all be content
Because there’s no other way
Patience is life’s great essence
February 27th, 2010Laughter is a precious commodity
February 20th, 2010Laughter is a precious commodity
Laughter is able to illuminate the soul
Laughter is life’s eminent joviality
Laughter is essential to our happiness
Laughter requires no effort to convey
Laughter is able to vanish loneliness
Laugh your way out of sadness
Laugh today and tomorrow
Laugh your way to cheerfulness
Laugh because frowns are not cute
Laugh so you can live longer
Laugh because you were born to laugh
Love and Passion
February 13th, 2010Haiti devastation
February 7th, 2010The great devastation in Haiti reveals many things. Every devastation eventually becomes one big devastation that ultimately affects us all, albeit indirectly. I take a look at the outpouring of help coming from everywhere and my heart gets very tender. I feel very humble by the love and compassion of others. We all must be the same branches sharing the same old tree.
Sometimes
January 30th, 2010Sometimes things do happen
So we can learn about ourselves
Sometimes we have to scream
So we can be heard
Sometimes the most beautiful sun
Can be found under the cloudiest sky
Sometimes we have to stumble
So we can avoid from falling
Sometimes we must get lost
So we can find ourselves
But no matter what happens
In the end, we always find a way
Haiti Earthquake
January 20th, 2010Whenever a major disaster occurs, we may feel the need to go into denial. It’s our way of protecting our souls from the pain. But, sooner or later, we must face reality. When I first heard the news of the earthquake in Haiti, I immediately assumed that a building had collapsed and a couple of people may have been injured but they were going to be okay. I refrained from watching the news hoping to hide from reality. Soon, a flood of telephone calls from friends and family members emerged, followed by stories and images on the Internet. I felt as though I was watching the end of the world. Finally, I was convinced that what I was watching was real and not a movie or a dream. Then, my heart broke and my soul was bewildered. Hopefully, something good will come out of this.
Everyday is a good day
January 10th, 2010Everyday is a good day
When you make it a good day
Every moment is special
When you make it special
Every minute is beautiful
When you make it beautiful
Every bad situation can turn good
When you want to turn it good
You have the power to do all that you want
Therefore use the power to do all that you want
